All About Your Teacher!!
Welcome to Room 104!!
My name is Michele Sousa (Miss Michele) and I will be your child's pre-school teacher this year. I have over 26 years experience working with children with autism. This is my 19th year teaching in Marlboro. I have been at the Abbott Early Learning Center, previously known as MELC, for 17 years. I was the Kindergarten teacher for children with autism for 4 years and have spent the past 13 years as a pre-school handicapped teacher. Prior to that, I taught the second and third grade ABA classes at Asher Holmes. I previously earned my Bachelors of Social Work from West Virginia University and my Master's of Science in Special Education from Simmons College in Boston MA.
I love what I do and I enjoy the challenges each day brings! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with your children and watch them grow throughout the school year. Please know that your children work hard each day. When they come home in the afternoon after a long days work, remember to praise them for a job well done!!
Consistent communication between home and school is an important part of your child's success. If you have any questions or concerns, please use the classroom Remind app or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
