All About Your Teacher!!
Welcome to Room 104!!
I have over 24 years experience working with children with autism. This is my seventeenth year teaching in Marlboro. I have been at the Abbott Early Learning Center, previously known as MELC, for 12 years. I was the Kindergarten teacher for children with autism for 4 years and have spent the past 11 years as a pre-school handicapped teacher. Prior to that, I taught the second and third grade ABA classes at Asher Holmes. I previously earned my Bachelors of Social Work from West Virginia University and my Master's of Science in Special Education from Simmons College in Boston MA.
I love what I do and I enjoy the challenges each day brings! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with your children and watch them grow throughout the school year. Please know that your children work hard each day. When they come home in the afternoon after a long days work, remember to praise them for a job well done!!
Consistent communication between home and school is critical to your child's progress. Please feel free to contact me anytime via e-mail or the school phone system with any questions or concerns you may have.
