Welcome to the DCAELC Child Study Team Home Page
Child Study Team (CST) members are specialists in the area of disabilities. They are responsible for the identification, evaluation, and determination of eligibility for special education services as well as the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and special education placement. Child Study Team members include a school psychologist, a learning disabilities teacher-consultant and a school social worker. The team can also include a speech-language therapist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist and other specialists as appropriate. The team collaborates with parents, teachers and school administrators to provide free and appropriate educational services to eligible students.
Hello! My name is Rosemary Nolan-Valentino. I am the Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) at the David Abbott Early Learning Center. I have taught kindergarten, preschool and high school. I have been an LDT-C for 12 years.
An LDT-C supports both staff and students through consultation, evaluation and assessing student needs.
