Meet Mrs. Arrivillaga
Hi! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Melissa Arrivillaga and I am your child's kindergarten teacher. I am very happy to be teaching kindergarten at the DAELC. This is my 17th year of teaching and I have had a variety of experiences in education throughout my career. I have taught multiple grade levels in various school settings.
During most of my career, I have worked with students who were learning English as a second language. I have worked in Oregon, NYC, NJ, and in Guatemala. During my time in Guatemala, I worked at The American School of Guatemala where almost all of the high school graduates enroll in university in the USA. All of my students were bilingual and trilingual. My job was to prepare them with an American education, so they could enroll in our top universities. It was a very satisfying career choice.
I am very happy to be a teacher at Marlboro Township Public Schools. This will be my 8th year working with the district and my 4th year teaching Kindergarten. Kindergarten really is the greatest. The students have so much fun learning and growing.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding your child's education and emotional/social growth. It really makes a difference to the child when they know the family and teacher(s) are working together.
