This is my 16th year working in the Marlboro Township School District and my 15th year at the David C. Abbott Early Learning Center. I hold a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University. In addition, I hold a Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Intervention in Autism from the University of Massachusetts.
I look forward to the start of a new school year! Please look under the "posts" tab for activities to practice speech and language skills at home.
If you have any questions please email me at email@example.com.
I-Spy Tray Activity
This is a great activity to do with your little one alone or with a sibling.
Indoor Obstacle Course
Push aside some furniture, and practice gross motor skills without breaking anything! Set out a laundry basket and use balled up socks to practice throwing and accuracy. Tape down some yarn or string for a makeshift balance beam. Do moves in place, like running, jumping and hopping. Add yoga moves, set up a tunnel...there are an infinite number of possibilities here. And work on language skills by adding directions.... "First, walk on the balance beam" and so on....
